Another comment: This is similar to the Tab menu in Nuke (http://opticalenquiry.com/nuke/index.php?title=Node_Graph#Tab_menu ) or Houdini (http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini9.5/basics/tabmenu ), although I believe these are also just for creating new objects (like ActiveType)?

I would like to point out that I am not suggesting a full blown command line like in Rhino or AutoCAD, with input arguments etc. Just a text-based shortcut to all the different parts of 3ds Max that have strings attached to identify them.

Yes, 21 isn't going to make much difference. ;)
I typically set mine to 60 and this seems to work fine. There are some functions in 3ds Max that potentially could suck up all Undo memory (such as attaching multiple meshes), so maybe 3ds Max could issue a warning when the Undo stack becomes extremely large?

FredericT commented on a merged request:
"Now we can only choose one resolution for multiple cameras. When we use Modifier "Camera map", we can't parameter multiple cameras. So think about -1 Resolution for the Scene -And 1 resolution for cameras. (like Softimage)."

I agree that Reaction Manager should receive some love, but this is better in the GeneralFeatures section, as it requires some well thought-out design concept.

for those people still don’t know, we have changed the default shortcuts for Edit Poly and Editable Poly, now they are using the same configuration!

Very similar but more specialized request on this topic:
Same hotkeys for EPoly/EMesh

As this can be changed by the user already, I'll move it to the Defaults section

I agree wholeheartedly that shortcuts need to be more systematic and unified, and selection/transform/editing tools should be as identical as possible between mesh, poly, uv, skin, shapes etc.

That's one of the main reasons why I turn off plugin shortcuts. There are other overlapping hotkeys (Ctrl-I comes to my mind), especially in Editable Mesh, but also in other plugins.
For a short term solution, these overlaps should be removed. Long term, we should have the option to make some hotkeys work globally (i.e. they cannot be overridden by plugins).

Dwayne Ellis: "Minimum distance in the polydraw spinner, in the graphite tools, has 1 as the lowest value. If you are working in meters you can't use the paint surface tool to create a surface smaller then 1 meter. Should be able to go smaller then 1."

@Royal Ghost: I believe it searches actions (basically what is listed in the Customize UI dialog). Just give it a try, and feel free to log a new request for further improvements.
