Improve Civil Views file import options of CAD polylines as they do not respect yoru Civil View Scene Offset
Anyone producing civil related work will know how amazing the Civil 3D VSP export is for bringing Civil 3D models into 3ds Max. The problem that we constantly have is you cannot create general layout lines, placeholders and regular CAD objects and export them through VSP Export as it only understand Features lines and C3D surfaces. When you try to import .shp, fbx, splines or polylines that exist in the same original C3D File they cannot be exported through the VSP Transfer and when imported through the Civil View geometry import they do not respect the Global offset which you set within Civil View inside 3DS Max. Why do you continue to offer a geometry import system under the Civil View menu that doesn't respect the global scene offset.

I believe what we need is a global import/export offset system. This would allow you to specify a coordinate offset to anything coming in or going out (king od what Civil View is doing) while maintain a local coordinate system in 3ds Max. The problem with the offset in Civil View is it is not double precision. The VS3D export is accomplished in Civil 3D where precision is not an issue, hence your problem.
What I would suggest is a global intra-application system that handles multiple coordinate systems between multiple Autodesk, and possibly, other 3rd party applications. Somewhat similar to the Direct Connect system that allows you to import multiple 3D CAD formats such as STEP, Catia, ProE, etc. Direct Connect is a universal translator for multiple Autodesk applications.
