So now being a subscriber is not good enough? Now we have to subscribe to the whole suite (which is too expensive and I have no use for) otherwise we are denied features?

Autodesk --- STOP shafting your customers.

There is NO good reason that mParticles and the Advanced Data Manipulation tools should be confined to suite owners only. Those features aren't even related to the other products in the suite. They are MAX tools, so give them to all MAX users (or at least subscribers).

Autodesk -- do you realize you have absolutely no clue on how to generate goodwill among your customer base. Would you rather have a bunch of paying customers that appreciate you? Or that resent you?

3DS MAX HOME EDITION needs to be implemented, and cheap! under 200 bucks!!
I'm not on about a version any where near the professional one! but a version which is older or new/revamped and has limitations to the core of just being able to model. Not stopping or curbing the "save" option limitation either. that's just plain stupid. If you can't save whats the point!?
For god sake we need to be able to give something back to communities out there! by letting average household people have a go!
Trials are just leads to other things they don't have any effect on the product, as the price is just WAY too much for the average Joe!

The 3DS MAX HOME EDITION would allow Normal people out there the ability to show there skills and in some cases skills by far, better than any educated ones! over the years we have seen the piracy version users have shown huge skills and they are way more skill full than the educated 3dmax trained person.
I do believe and I have tried talking about this for many many years that a HOME EDITION of 3DS MAX is very much needed product this would stop/slow piracy and start up a bigger revolution of 3dsmax users legitimately and allow more artists to be able to show there 3d art and become more likely to move toward the professional version and possibly a professional job in the industry.
I think Autodesk needs to look at this realistically and point a positive reaction to it, giving something back to communities on the web/home users, they need a break from financial hardship that is placed upon them in order to get a quality product like 3DS MAX just doodle and play.
SO I say bring on the "3DS MAX HOME EDITION!" NOW!

Well, i don't know if this is the right place to post it, but here i go:

3D Max is a great software, but it has a huge problem: the license price. Big companies has no problems purchasing it, but small/indie teams with a little revenue can't pay up to ~4000$ for a single 3d max license for one seat.

It would be great to create another license model for indies or small companies, something like a lot of companies already offers: very small prices if you get a revenue less than X$, or maybe a version with less features like adobe do with "elements" products.

This model allows to this small teams use your software (which i think must be the first priority of every company that solds a product) and creates a great group of future full price license buyers.

paying $500/yr for one software - 3D Max - is too much. i only new a few features and a feature in need the most -> a proper toon shader is something that Max doesn't have. the paint and ink material is crap and so slow. so i have to pay more to a 3rd pary solution like finalToon which does what i need.

i pay $28/month for Adobe Creative Cloud and i can install and use ALL Adobe software. This is a tremendous value which I'm not getting from Autodesk. Autodesk has to change to meet the times.

So off the train for now. and we'll see what happens down the line.
