Shift snap to 45 and 90 when moving a vertex

being able to snap to angles when in editing mode similar to illustrator.
for ex: when moving a vertex or a handle and you hit shift(or whatever hotkey assigned) it would snap to the closest 45 degree or 90 based on current viewport view. a custom setting similar to the rotation snap with minimum angle of snap would be nice too.

FWIW, at least when creating a Spline, you can snap 90 deg by holding Shift. You can also snap the angle between two consecutive spline elements by holding down Ctrl. This does not help with editing a spline but I thought I'd point that out, just in case.
